About Us
A Legacy of Educational Leadership, Excellence and Empowerment
Our History and Legacy
The journey of School Voice Association began in 1977, when Mr. R. R. Iyyar established the Federation of Private Schools. This initiative laid the foundation for a collective platform dedicated to the welfare, development and advancement of private educational institutions.
Under the inspiring leadership of the late Mr. D. Christ Das, and with the guidance and support of Mr. Rajkumar, Mr. Krishna Moorthy and the late Director Titas of the Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI), the initiative evolved into the Tamil Nadu Nursery, Primary and Matriculation Higher Secondary School Managements Association.
Visionary Leadership and Collective Strength
Today, School Voice Association continues its journey under the able leadership of two eminent educationists and legal professionals: Adv. Martin Kennedy, President, and Adv. M. J. John Arokia Prabhu, General Secretary. Supported by a highly coordinated Executive Committee and a dedicated Legal Team, their leadership has strengthened the association’s commitment to representing educational institutions, recognising outstanding contributions and advancing the education sector.
The association serves as a united platform for school managements, educationalists, principals and teachers, fostering collaboration, professional solidarity and a shared vision for quality education.
Recognising Excellence in Education
A key achievement of School Voice Association is its sustained commitment to honouring the individuals who shape the future of education.
Through the School Voice Edu Excellence Awards, the association has recognised and celebrated 15,500 educationalists, correspondents, principals and teachers for their leadership, commitment, innovation and invaluable contributions to education.
Empowering Students Through Educational Initiatives
Alongside recognising excellence, School Voice Association remains committed to motivating and empowering the next generation.

This work reflects the association’s belief that education extends beyond the classroom. By providing encouragement, guidance and access to career-related insights, School Voice Association equips students with the confidence and clarity to pursue their ambitions.
Our Commitment to the Future
The association remains committed to strengthening the voice of private educational institutions, celebrating educators’ achievements, supporting school managements and empowering students through meaningful educational initiatives.
